I am writing to inquire into the status of FOI Request W001448-011419, filed over a month ago.

To summarize:

1) In late 2018 I opened FOI request W001359-112818, requesting all information related to Bridgeport PD death investigation case # OOD-01299, involving my deceased grandmother.

2) In response to this FOI request, I received one sheet of paper, a copy of an internal form used for death investigations, tersely describing the incident and making reference to other notes - which notes, were not turned over.

3) Although FOI request W001359-112818 is marked as completed, and has been closed, the Freedom of Information request is not complete, because the sudden death form very clearly refers to other notes ("Refer incident report and case jacket for details"); and this additional information has not been turned over to my custody.

4) In early January 2019, I wrote Detective Ingrassia of Bridgeport PD (USPS Certified Mail Receipt # 7018 0680 0000 3326 8215) asking him to help me locate this missing information - including the missing police photographs of what, at the time, was considered a possible murder scene - which crime scene included an open, empty safe. He did not reply.

5) In mid-January 2019, I opened FOI request W001448-011419, explicitly requesting the missing incident report and case jacket details.

6) Over a month has passed and I have not received the information I requested. Nor have I received any status report explaining the delay. I am writing to request a status report on my request.

7) I am now growing concerned that either a) the City of Bridgeport government is destroying police records related to a possible murder; b) concealing records related to police misconduct; or, c), both.

Any information you can provide on the status of this request would be greatly appreciated.
